Directed by Alisa Evans, Weaving the Forest. follows the making of MORI WO ORU, a Japanese clothing and lifestyle brand founded by Yumi Komori.
From soil, water, plants, animals, and people, the film traces the journey of silk from its origins in nature through thread, weaving, craftsmanship, and finally clothing — revealing the larger ecosystem behind what we wear.
Following the screening, Japanese tea master Soryo Matsumura will lead a mindful tea experience with ceremonial matcha, offering a quiet moment to slow down, reflect, and reconnect with nature.
For the tea experience, we will also serve Bōtapia Organic Mulberry Matcha, made from mulberry leaves, paired with a special Mulberry Cookie created by Laurie Ellen for the evening — extending the story of silk and the mulberry tree into taste.
For SAYAKA DAVIS and Hannayoo Works, whose work is rooted in natural materials, craftsmanship, and thoughtful making, it feels especially meaningful to share this film and tea experience in our showroom.

映画『森を織る。』について
アリサ・エヴァンス監督による『森を織る。』は、小森優美が立ち上げた日本の衣服・ライフスタイルブランド「MORI WO ORU」のものづくりを追ったドキュメンタリー映画です。
土、水、植物、動物、そして人。自然を起点に、絹が糸となり、織物となり、職人の手仕事を経て衣服へと姿を変えていく過程をたどります。私たちが身にまとう衣服の背景に広がる、生きものたちのつながりと大きな生態系を映し出します。
上映後は、茶道家の松村宗亮による、心を整えるお茶の時間をお楽しみいただきます。儀式のための抹茶を味わいながら、日々の忙しさから少し離れ、立ち止まり、思いを巡らせ、自然とのつながりを取り戻すひとときをお過ごしください。
お茶の時間には、桑の葉から作られた「Bōtapia Organic Mulberry Matcha」もご用意します。さらに、この日のためにローリー・エレンが特別に作った桑の葉クッキーを添えてご提供します。
絹の物語を、その源である桑の木とともに、味覚を通しても体験していただきます。
自然素材、職人技、そして丁寧なものづくりを大切にするSAYAKA DAVISとHannayoo Worksにとって、この映画とお茶の体験をショールームで共有できることは、特別な意味を持っています。
