Forest of Craft
生態系が連環するファッションを作る上では、ものづくりは全て、植樹や農業から始まること、その重要性を多くの人に伝えていく必要があります。
私たちは京都大学フィールド科学研究センターが所有する京都・上賀茂試験地で発足したプロジェクト”里山おーぷんらぼ”にて、京大フィールド研、一社)パースペクティブ、京大生、市民の皆様と共に、人と自然との関わりを、ものづくりを通して学ぶ”工藝の森”を作っています。桑(蚕が食べる餌)や漆など里山文化で利用されてきた植物の植樹活動をしたり、上賀茂に生えている人が歴史の中で利用してきた有用な植物たちをMAPにまとめ、多くの人に向けて学びの場を開いています。
In order to create regenerative fashion which operates within the natural cycle of the ecosystem, we need to spread awareness of the importance of this process and remind people that all manufacturing begins with tree planting and agriculture.
Satoyama Open Lab is a project we have begun at the Field Science Research Center of Kyoto University.
Together with members of the Field Research Center, Perspective, Kyoto University students, and the citizens of Kyoto, we are studying the relationship between people and nature through making things. We are planting mulberry (food for silkworms), lacquer, and other plants used in the satoyama culture.
