Living in Oregon, USA, sparked a deep interest in coexistence with nature and sustainable ways of life.
Through a journey around the world, they encountered diverse values and perspectives,
and since then have made the practice and sharing of an ethical lifestyle their life’s work.Since 2022, they have served as the host of Ethical Every Day on NHK WORLD JAPAN,
introducing a wide range of ethical initiatives in Japan to audiences around the world.
In their directorial debut, "Weaving the Forest.",
they tell a story of renewal between people and nature through a journey exploring Japanese silk.

米国オレゴンでの暮らしを機に、自然との共生や持続可能な生き方に関心を深める。地球一周の旅を通して多様な価値観に触れ、その後エシカルを軸とした暮らしの実践と発信をライフワークとする。2022年からはNHK WORLD JAPANの番組『Ethical Every Day』でMCを務め、主に日本国内の様々な取り組みを世界に伝えている。初監督作『森を織る。』では、国産シルクをめぐる旅を通して、人と自然の再生の物語を描く。

A filmmaker and YouTuber who portrays a mindful way of living through food, nature, and everyday life, using film and sound as his primary means of expression.
Drawing on his experiences living abroad and working with food, he launched the YouTube channel Peaceful Cuisine in 2010.
He single-handedly manages filming, performing, and editing, cultivating a distinctive and immersive visual world.
With over 2.4 million subscribers, the channel is widely supported by audiences around the globe.
His unique aesthetic and tranquil visual language have expanded beyond YouTube into film and other creative fields.

料理や自然、ライフスタイルなどを通じて、映像と音を通して丁寧な暮らしを描く映像作家・YouTuber。 海外での生活や料理経験を活かし、2010年にYouTubeチャンネル「Peaceful Cuisine」を開設。 撮影・出演・編集まで全てを一人で手がけ、独自の世界観を築いている。チャンネル登録者数は240万人を超え、世界中の視聴者から支持を得ている。 独自の美学と静謐な映像表現は、YouTubeの枠を超え、映画など多方面へと広がっている。

Born in Kyoto Prefecture, she graduated from the Piano Department of Toho Gakuen School of Music.
Her work ranges from classical piano compositions to music for television dramas, films, and documentaries, as well as composing, arranging, and performing for other artists.
She received the S&R Washington Award (USA) in 2012.
Her major works include the TV series Kahogo no Kahoko, Kami-sama no Karute, Lilac no Hana Saku Kemonomichi, and Nippon Judan Kokoro Tabi,
and the films Byakuyakō, Koisaika Miyamoto, and Kimi no Wasurekata,
as well as Miwa Sakamoto’s solo album birds fly.
In recent years, she has been creating short piano pieces under the project Toaru Hi,
and released the solo piano album Toaru Hi: A Day in April 2024.
In March 2025, she presented a one-day sound exhibition, Toaru Hi no Koto – Mamiko Hirai,
at the Ashiya City Museum of Art & History.

音楽/ ​平井 真美子

京都府出身。桐朋学園大学音楽学部ピアノ科卒業。クラシックピアノ曲の創作から、ドラマや映画、ドキュメンタリーへの楽曲提供、他のアーティスト作品での作曲、編曲、ピアノ演奏など、幅広い活動を行う。2012年S&R Washington Award（アメリカ）を受賞。主な作品に、テレビ「過保護のカホコ」「神様のカルテ」「リラの花咲くけものみち」「にっぽん縦断こころ旅」、映画「白夜行」「恋妻家宮本」「君の忘れ方」、坂本美雨ソロアルバム「birds fly」など。近年は"とあるひ"と題し、日々の心模様を音でスケッチした短編曲の創作に勤しみ、2024年4月にピアノソロアルバム”「とあるひ」記録集 a day ”を発表。2025年3月には兵庫県芦屋市立美術博物館で1日限りの音の展覧会「とあるひのこと　平井真美子」を開催する。

Since 2013, she has worked as the designer of Liv:ra, a plant-dyed silk lingerie brand.
In spring 2024, she launched MORI WO ORU, a co-creative project that nurtures ecosystems between nature and people through Japanese silk weaving and garment making.
While exploring personal expression, her work expands ecological design across the broader economic and cultural landscape through craft traditions.
She received the Social Products Award at the Social Products Awards in 2015.

​2013年より草木染めシルクランジェリーブランド"Liv:ra（リブラ）”デザイナーとして活動する。 

2024年春からは、日本の絹織物の服づくりで自然と人の生態系を育む共創プロジェクト “MORI WO ORU(森を織る)”スタート。自身の自己表現を探求すると同時に、工芸文化を通して経済流域全体における生態系の連環デザインを展開する。
