A sculptural silk tie featuring a three-dimensional design, crafted from 100% silk textile made with original silk fancy yarn by Itoasobi Creative Studio.

The textile combines both yarn-dyeing and piece-dyeing techniques, creating rich depth and dimension in both the texture and color.

Every detail, from the three-dimensional form to the intricate dyeing process, reflects the careful craftsmanship behind this unique piece.

The color is primarily created using cochineal, a natural dye known for its excellent colorfastness.

コチニール
草木染めの王様として愛されている、鮮やかな赤の
天然カイガラムシの色素。古くから食料色素として使われています。

ログウッド
ブラッドウッド「血の木」。
アステカのマヤ族が伝統的に使っていた聖なる木で知られています。
軍服や着物などの衣類だけではなく革や木材の染料としても使用されてきました。
また、青く染まる色素「ヘマトキシリン」は、
医療の現場でも組織細胞を染めるために使用されています。


Cochineal
The king of herb dyes, that produces a bright red color.
A pigment from wild scale insects (kaigaramushi). It has long been used as a food dye.

Logwood
Also known as bloodwood.
Said to be a sacred tree, and traditionally used by the Aztec Mayan people.
It has been used as a dye for leather and wood, as well as for clothing such as military uniforms and kimonos.
The blue dye "hematoxylin" is also used in medicine to dye tissue cells.

独自技術を使用し、分子レベルまで色素を細分化することによって、自然の世界そのままの色鮮やかな草木の色を生地に落とし込んでいます。
色素がしっかりしみ込んでいるため、従来の草木染めよりも色落ちがしにくく、色彩を長期的に楽しんでいただけます。
染料は無農薬の天然100%で、前処理や後処理にも科学原料は使用いたしません。
定着剤には体に優しいみょうばんを使用しております。
科学物質の染色ではなく、自然にもからだにも優しい天然染料なので、着心地がとてもよく、アトピーや肌荒れが気になる方にもおすすめです。
職人さんが手染めで丁寧に染め上げました。
草木は生きておりますので、長くお使いいただくと色に変化があることがございます。
生き物のように大切にお使いください。

Kusaki-zome Natural dying using plants and insects
Using our original technology, we subdivide the pigments down to the molecular level to produce fabrics with vivid colors from plants and trees as they are in the natural world.
Since the pigments are soaked into the fabric, the colors are less likely to fade than other natural dyeing methods, meaning the colors can be enjoyed for longer.
The dyes are 100% natural and pesticide-free. No chemicals are used in the pre-treatment or post-treatment.
Alum, which is gentle on the skin, is used as a fixing agent.
As the dyes are all-natural with no added chemicals, they are kind to nature and the body. They are very comfortable to wear and are recommended for those who are concerned about atopic dermatitis or rough skin.
Fabrics are carefully hand-dyed by artisans. Since plants and trees are alive, the color may change over time.
Please use it carefully as if it were a living thing.

染め直し

長くご使用になられて色落ちした場合、染め直しが可能ですので、何度も染め替えてご愛用ください。
Design Studioで自分で染めていただくことも可能です。
その場合はDesign Studioの染色をご予約ください。

こちらで染色を代行する場合はお時間は商品到着から約1ヶ月程度いただきます。こちらの商品をご購入の上、商品をご発送ください。
通常は染め替えは同じ色ですが、以下のカラーは別の色に変更可能です。

ピンク→パープル
水色→パープル、カーキ
イエロー→カーキ

 細かい色味はこちらにお任せとなります。

Re-dyeing

If the color fades after prolonged use, it can be re-dyed so you can enjoy it for longer.
You also have the option to dye it yourself at the Design Studio.
In that case, please book a dyeing session at the Design Studio.
If we handle the dyeing for you,it takes about one month from the time it arrives to us. Please purchase this item and send the product to us.
Normally, the piece will be re-dyed the same color, but the following colors can be changed to another color

Pink to Purple
Light blue to purple, khaki
Yellow to khaki

 The specific shade will be at the discretion of the dyer.

Precautions
・Hand washing is recommended. Please wash lightly with bar soap, pressing it into the fabric. Dry in shade. Proper care will extend the life of our clothes.
・This product does not use chemical dyeing processes. This results in variations in the color. This finish is typical of natural dyes.
・Each item is hand-dyed by craftspeople. There may be some  pattern and color difference in the finished product.
・Please understand that although we make every effort to bring the product photo as close to the actual color as possible, color may appear different depending on the monitor, color settings or other technical limitations of the customer’s device, room lighting or sunlight.
・Size may vary slightly due to the measurement of actual size.
・Payment will be made after purchase.
